Aston Villa look to pull off the great escape and avoid relegation from the Premier League by picking up a result at West Ham United.

The Hammers have been in fine form, but do not have much to play for, though David Moyes is still looking to build the credit he has ammassed in recent weeks with big performances against Chelsea and Manchester United.

Dean Smith will know the margins are razor thin, Watford are one goal worse off in the goal difference column, but also have an inferior number of goals scored ahead of their trip to Arsenal.

Bournemouth, too, have very slim hopes, but if they win at Everton, and both Aston Villa and Watford lose, there is a chance Eddie Howe’s side could spectacularly leap to safety at the very end of the season.

Here are the predicted line-ups and team news for the game at the London Stadium.

When is it and what time is kick-off?

The match will begin at 4pm on Sunday 26 July at the London Stadium.

How can I watch it online and on TV?

The match will be broadcast live on BT Sport 1, BT Sport Extra 1 and BT Sport Ultimate, you can find a live stream for the game through the BT Sport app to watch on mobile devices.

What is the team news?

Jarrod Bowen and Aaron Cresswell both picked up minor injuries in the draw at Manchester United, so both players will need to pass fitness tests to feature here. Felipe Anderson is back from a hamstring issue and could pick up some minutes here after remaining on the bench at Old Trafford.

Ahmed Elmohamady (hamstring) is out, while Neil Taylor (hamstring) is back in contention. Dean Smith’s main decision may be whether to move Ezri Konsa to right-back over Frederic Guilbert, with Kortney Hause filling in at centre-back.

Predicted line-ups

West Ham XI: Fabianski, Johnson, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Soucek, Rice, Bowen, Noble, Fornals

Aston Villa XI: Reina, Guilbert, Konsa Ngoyo, Mings, Targett, McGinn, Douglas Luiz, Hourihane, Trezeguet, Samatta, Grealish

What are the odds?

West Ham: 2/1

Draw: 13/5

Aston Villa: 13/10

Prediction

Villa simply want this more and David Moyes’s West Ham have already secured both survival and a number of impressive performances against top sides to build from next season. Dean Smith’s side should take this one, but it might be tense and nervy as news filters through from the Emirates and Goodison Park. 0-1.
